The optical chevrons on the photos page (by Paul Rimbeck and Dong Shin), are these done on an eight axis wrap? Thanks for your help. Re: Optical Chevrons - Number of Axis

Craig,
I'm working on one right now and I do all mine on 8 axis. They are actually a very simple wrap to make. I get more comments on this pattern than any others. Randy. Re: Optical Chevrons - Number of Axis

Thanks Randy. Is there anything special about laying this out, or is it just double of a typical four axis? The blank is relatively large (16mm or so), so there should be plenty of room.
Thanks again. Re: Optical Chevrons - Number of Axis

Craig,
It's a very simple pattern to do. Just lay out 8 axis and mark your spacing. I do mine exactly like Clemens' thread book states meaning a lighter colored underwrap with dark (usually black) borders. I start mine on the left side with 4 dark threads then 4 light threads coming back. Just keep alternating until you get the size you need. Randy. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
