Renzetti it is!

I'd like to thank everyone for their responses about trying to find a Clemens lathe. I received lots of e-mails off the board that all told me the same place to look. The only trouble is they don't have all of the parts for a complete setup at this moment. I'm positive I'll like the Renzetti just fine. Thanks again!

Bruce

Congratulations!!! I wish you many years of gratifying work with your new Renzetti Lathe. Keep in mind that it retains its value very well so in the unlikely possibility you will kick the rod building "habit" you will recoup most of your investment. I say that mostly joking as it isnot so easy to kick this addiction.

Renzetti has been around a long time and will be around for many more years. They're highly respected in the fly fishing industry for their vises and the craftsmanship on the Master Rod Lathe is the same - exceptional.

I've owned two of them since the mid-80's and they've been used hard, but both are still in top notch condition.

Thanks Jesse, I think I may need some more tutelage first! I forgot to mention that my wife is buying this as a Christmas present.

I've had a Renzetti fly vise for years. If it has the Renzetti name on it you can be sure that quality is inside. Don't know where you are located, but Andy Renzetti himself will be at the national rod builders show in Charlotte NC in February. You can see all the accessories there and ask him any questions you have in person. Great chance to talk to the guy who designed and built your machine!

Yeah, I'm not too far from Charlotte (Virginia Beach) and thought about going last year, but work got in the way. May try again this year.
