Just spoke with Cabela's customer service and they said that because it's a promotion run by the manufacturer, I must deal with them directly, much as I expected.
So, buyers beware. Whatever the problem is with PacBay, be prepared to wait substantially longer than the 4-6 weeks they advertise for fulfillment of the "FREE" Rod Dryer. It has now been 13 weeks. Re: PacBay Free Rod Dryer Offer Followup

Manufacturer promotional events are indeed handled by the manufacturer. And what has Pacific Bay told you?

I've called Pacific Bay twice and continue to be told it will be "going out shortly". I had sent in the coupon at the end of August. I hope Charlie Comstock explination well statisfii everone. In most cases when it come coupons rebaites or freebies. There is such a larger than expected responce. Item replacement have to beback ordered. This even happens to the big 3 car manufactures
