To all:
I need some help and advice sourcing a light weight reel seat with fighting butt for a 10ft 5/6 wt steelhead rod. I would like to stay with graphite if possible, but I am having a hard time finding a graphite reel seat and fighting butt combo. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hi Mark,
I got a real nice reel seat/grip combo from Dan Craft for the two FT 907's I also got. The real seats are Forecast A7's with double locking rings, black woven graphite insert in shiny gunsmoke finish. The skeletons are the inlet type that match perfectly to Dan's super grade full wells grips. Reel seat receives a smaller cork fixed fighting butt with a really nice trim ring. Looks fantastic-smaller in overall look, and light, but seems very strong with the double lock rings. I'm really happy with it. Re: light weight reel seat with fighting butt for steelhead

Mark,
Made an 8 wt that way for a gentleman last winter. used a Fuji skeleton, graphite insert, Fuji HPSN16N reelseat nut with the large diameter ( 1.09") if I remember right Tennessee grip tubing with the Forecast Eva casting/spin buttcapp on the end. Got everything from Angler's Workshop and eveything matched pretty well but the size of the graphite patterns. It's a little larger grid pattern on the Tennessee grip material.
