I want to use yellow trim on a rod I'm building.Had a horrible experience with yellow before probably my fault. If I use yellow and cover with cp then flex coat am I going to get a bleed thru of the rod color as I did before? Would it be a better to use ncp Yellow? Any pointers besides not using it? best thing to do is get another scrap blank the same color and try NCP and Nylon thread with CP on them.
The NCP thread will bleed less but I don't like the looks of them. The nylon has a nicer look to it sparkly. Pack tight Re: yellow trim

You might consider painting the blank white where your wraps will go. That will improve the brightness of the yellow and any other colors you are using. Re: yellow trim

Like Dave said, paint the blank under the wrap white and it will look great!!!

I thought the Mettler's polysheen colors stayed true after CP, regardless of blank color.
