With regard to Flex Coat, or any thread epoxy: If all things are equal from batch to batch (mixing, stirring, etc.) how much difference in drying time would a reduction in temperature make? Like going from the 70 degree range or higher to 45 degrees or lower. Do all thread epoxies react the same way concerning temperature? Finally, does the change in temperature, higher or lower, have any effect on the formation of bubbles? Thank you. Re: Flex Coat Question

For every 18F increase or decrease in temp from about 70F, you will either halve or double the set and cure time.
Warmer epoxy is easier to work with and releases bubbles easier than cold, thick epoxy. ............. Re: Flex Coat Question

Thank you for your response. Then I guess the rod I've been waiting on to dry for the last 72 hours is not still tacky due strictly to the drop in temperature in my shop, but more likely due to either improper mixing, stirring or both. Is that about right? Do you think another thin coat applied in a warmer area with much more attention paid to the other two factors help fix the problem, or should I try to remove it? There is a cured coat under this tacky one. Thank you again. Re: Flex Coat Question
