Hi Tony,
You are talking about adding pigment to FLEX COAT EPOXY. Yes, epoxy takes adding color pigments very well. TAP plastics has pigment for Polyester/Epoxy, I have used TESTORS model paint with excess oil drained off, I've used powder used for caulk lines, I use PPG automotive PEARL tints multi color and single . metal flake- gold,silver,colored,... I know guys will add more to my listing. Check with the suppliers, I bought some from NETCRAFT, What does not work are ARTIST LATEX pigments. Hey Tony,
I had a bunch of Testors paint that I use to color jig heads and tried it with epoxy. I do as Dave says: Let the paint settle, take a plastic pipette and remove the diluent. After mixing the epoxy I use a toothpick to add the color to the base coat and if I want to marble I have another color which I add again with a toothpick. It works very well. If an old guy like me can do it, it should be a snap for you. Re: Coloring Flex Coat

I've used very small amounts of Testor's to tint FC. It gives a subtle but interesting look, like a candy apple paint job. Re: Coloring Flex Coat

I have used commercial food coloring to add a translucent color to wraps, gives a nice effect to a bass rod. It can give a real subtle effect depending what your wrap colors are. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
