I built rods for myself and mates 25 years ago and THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Myles (Qld - Australia) I'm back into it. Totally re-doing all my own rods
He has been very helpful in answering lots of questions. I hope I haven't driven him mad with all my questions. Can anyone tell me when Fuji Speed Grips were discontinued? I have one on a small spin stick. It's about 25 years old and still going great. Thanks Robert Re: Fuji Speed Grip?

Those were extremely nice grips. They were probably discontinued in the mid to late 1980's.
It is still possible to get fairly firm EVA, but most likely you'll have to shape it yourself. ............... Re: Fuji Speed Grip?

Does anyone have any pics of the spinning grips? I've only seen the casting grips. Phil Re: Fuji Speed Grip?

They were all pretty much the same. Lew's installed them backwards of what most fishermen are used to in a sort of "reverse taper" manner.
They were mostly straight tapers, smaller at end and larger at the others. Some of the foregrip pieces were bullet shaped. The big game grips had compound straight tapers. Most all the other grips were slim and firm. Nice grips. ............ Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
