Hi all
My question is, will the CP preserve the natural colours of a feather the same way like on a dyed one? My experience on dyed feathers says no, (I always go with naturals because of that), but maybe some of you have a totally different experience. Thanks Re: Feathers for inlays-Natural or dyed

Willy,
Yes and no...Some dyed feathers will make a horrible mess with inlays...Some will not. I avoid them....I do not like Mr. Murphy in my shop. Bob Meiser Re: Feathers for inlays-Natural or dyed

I rinse mine off with hot water. Maybe that is why I don't have any problems.
Usually get my feathers from Cabela's. Re: Feathers for inlays-Natural or dyed

Dear all,
Reading all your emails regarding "Feathers for inlays" I was just wondering if you were using something "to fix" the feathers on the blank / on the thread before starting to apply epoxy on the wraps??? I am sorry about such a stupid question but I live in Europe (France) and none of my rod builder friends has ever used Feathers inlays and as I found it very nice when I gave a look at the Photos Galery, I was planning to start with my next rod. Can anybody give me some advices on this topic, I would strongly appreciate your help guys so as to avoid making too many mistakes? (ps: I am sorry for all the gramatical errors I may "write" and I hope you will understand my English). Frantz Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
