Hi Guys,
By now most of you would have have seen the new triangular premium grade marine alloy reel seats from Alps. These seats are an excellent quality product. Sizes range from 12mm which are suited to the fly market and up to size 22mm for your larger diameter rods. There is an array of colors to appeal to all. There has been a number of you chasing these seats. I have reasonable stocks now only short on a few of the size 12,16's. You can view them on my site under components, reel seats, freeway, triangular. If you click on view full size image it will give you some detailed info on the seats. No problems in shipping outside Australia. You can order online or shoot me an email if that is more convenient. Cheers, Ross Re: Availiable Now.

Ross I would really appreciate some words that may have some effect on me using the triangular seats. One of my associate rod builders just lost a sale of several rods to a bottom fishing customer he had. We talked quite a bit about providing spiral wrapped rods so he could horse snapper from around offshore platforms and rock jetties with less rod failure than he is currently experiencing. The customer opted to purchase the rods with triangular foregrips and seats from Cabelas. These rods were conventionally wrapped but he was "sold" that the triangular equipment was what he really wanted by Cabelas literature and sales person. My point was that the only advantage I saw to the triangular stuff was that it gave him a better hold on the rod where he could more easily stress the rod to failure by twisting.
What is the real advantage of the triangular set up? Thanks Gon Fishn Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
