Has anybody flocked a foam grip? Will it work?

I always use EVA grips for flocking. I turn them down to the shape I want. Smooth them up with fine grit sanding spounge, seal them with CP, then flock as per instructions for Donjer. I find EVA to cost less than cork.

You can flock nearly anything that the adhesive will adhere to. The only possible downside to flocking EVA is that you wind up with a grip which is softer than cork. That might be a pro or a con, depending on what you're after in a rod grip.
The Donjer instructions are fine, but not aimed at rod grips. The instructions in RodMaker are specifically tailored for flocking rod grips. EVA should not require sealer and in some cases sealing such closed cell grips could be a mistake. ................... Re: Flocking EVA or other Foam Grips

Thanks Ed & Tom,
I have not tried flocking yet but will soon and I was concerned that the softness of the foam would cause problems and not allow the flocking adhere well. Have a great day all!
