What color wraps look good on the Rainshadow OG blanks?

Receieved my two Rainshadow Olive Green blnks from Custom Tackle's recent sale and was wondering what color wraps go good with these blanks? I'm more into something rather subtle with thin gold trim bands than I am with something that stands out like a barber's pole. Thanks.

Tim, some sort of red, trimmed in gold looks great. Also, brown and gold is not bad either.

You might try garnet with no CP and gold trim bands. The garnet turns a very dark almost candy apple red that really looks classy with either green or matt black finish rods.

Tim I have the same situation. Just recieved the Rainshadow IST 1085F-OG for a winter build project and have been doing searches on this site for colour ideas. I wrote down four suggestion that came up.
(1) Garnet or Candy Apple red with no cp
(2) Rust
(3) Dark Brown thread wraps with Copper Metallic trim bands
(4) Copper Wraps with Gold metallic bands

I can not tell you which one looks best because I have yet to try any of them, but since I have two other rods with the garnet thread I think I am leaning toward number 3. That is Dark brown with copper metallic trim. But by all means you start up first and I will pick your brain on what you think turned out to be a good choice. I've got about a month before I even start this project. Steelhead running in my local creek and that takes precedent over my build.

The garnet no CP is probrobly the best looking thread for a green blank, if you want contrast.

Dark green with metalic white(pearl)trimbands is subtle and looks great to me.

It isn't really subtle....But the copper thread on a green blank is beautiful.
