Looking for a little advice from the board.
I have a customer who is looking for an 8' to 8'6", moderate action, fiberglass musky trolling rod for trolling large crankbaits and to 2-8 oz of lead. Should be rated in the 20-60 # line class or there abouts. I have a few ideas, but am finding it difficult to really fit the bill perfectly. St. Croix just put out a new fiberglass trolling rod (PGM80HM) that looks to be ideal, but St. Croix doesn't sell the blank. Most musky rods, being graphite or composite, are usually fast action. I'm now looking outside the box for ideas... Any thoughts or suggetions? Erik Re: Musky Trolling Blank

I have no idea about musky rods but remember that there was a long article in Rodmaker a while back about building musky rods and there was some part of it about trolling rods for them. A list of blank recommendations was given. Maybe that might help. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
