1. For my steelhead float rods I am wrap the guides with size A threadand no colour presev. I am thinking of using flex coat low or high build with possably two coats. I have not yet used it before, what would you recomend?, or is there a better product avaliable?

2. The rods I am building are two part 10 -12ft with 1.25 dia. cork glued to the but section i am looking for a inexpensive lathe to turn down the handles whie on the rod. I do not want to use a drill, any recomondations?
