I would like information on a discovery in my old fly rod collection. It's a fine looking old bamboo fly rod that has one (1) identifying mark " THE DIVINE ROD" on the reel seat. The rod butt is 38 7/8", the mid section is 36 1/2' and the tip is 31". the grip is similar to a cigar style but not as pronounced as most. here may have been a hosel at the top of the grip but its gone. The rod has been stripped for refurnishing but the light bamboo still shows that there was a lot of wrapping (about every inch and a half). Somewhere in the vast articles on vintage bamboo, I read a little blurp on Divine Rod mentioned in the same sentence as H L Leonard rods. There are some websites that include "The Divine Rod", but I am unable to bring up any text. Any help you can give is appreciated.

Golden Witch (a sponsor on the right) has a book "Fishing Rods by Divine - Michael Sinclair". I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but it might be worth checking out.
Here's the link (the book is listed near the bottom of the page): [www.goldenwitch.com] - Sam Re: Divine Bamboo rod
