rod color choice?

Hey everyone,

I have built a dozen rods now and am lovin it!! Most have been standard blanks with standard color guides and thread. Now that I'm getting better I'm getting more picky with each one I make.

I'm making a new 5 weight for myself and want to us a really earthy tone color blank, something not ordinary, like the sage launch, except I want it a little faster action.

Any suggestions, I'm open to any manufacturer and we'll pretend price isn't an issue. Thanks for the help.

Aaron

CTS has some cool colors. i like those metallic shades myself. but for now, i'm quite happy on the lower end using the tiger eyes. one done and i'm working on number two.

Think it's Pac Bay that has a Plum color, Rainshadow has a very nice transparent green, Loomis has a nice darker maroonish? color.

pac bay discontinued that nice plum color. it was more of a medium action anyway i think. the replacement is a grey color and called the tradition II.

About the closest rod colors I know of would be the golden brown or semigloss gold CTS blanks.
