I'd like to purchase razorwands for reaming cork handles but I am not sure what sizes would generally be enough. Mudhole has small, medium and large in 9 different sizes. I'm sure I don't need all of them. Please advise. Re: razorwands

In the library section at the top of this page there is an excellent article on how to make reamers. You can make any size you want for less than a quater. If you do a search there is more info.Reamers and razorwands are the same. Re: razorwands

Just a warning, it is said that the grit when glued to scrap will tend to come off and stay in the cork. Thus while sliding onto the blank can scratch it. Re: razorwands

As Bill says watch out for the grit. You can get a set of 3 rat-tail files, 1/4" to 13/32", that will work for reaming most grips and there is no danger of any grit inside the grip. I got mine from Golden Witch a sponsor on the left. Re: razorwands

I cut belt sander strips about 1 inch thick, 400 grit I think. Used contact cement to glue to fiberglass blank and followed directions in library section. Have done abt. 15 rods without a problem. Re: razorwands

I chuck mine in a cordless drill sitting in a vise pointing straight up so I can move the grip up and down on it. You want to run the drill in reverse to prevent binding. If the blank is hollow, I Rod Bond an old drill bit in the end so I can easily cjuck it.

Bill is so very right - that grit can sure botch up a blank. The stuff from Custom Tackle Supply is a better choice in my opinion. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
