Hi guy
I have a question for anyone that can answer it. I have a friend with a lot of old fishing equipment and she is looking to find out the value of it for insurance purposes. Does anyone know of any appraisers that handle fishing equipment close to missuaga or london ontario? any help would be appreciated. Thank you Tyler Re: Need Help

There is an article in Bass Masters mag. every month called "what’s it worth" were the writer values antique fishing lures and fills in some back ground history on them. I would suggest calling B.A.S.S., and asking to speak with this person. Dealing in that field full time he might be able to refer you a credible person in your area that could do that for you. Also @#$%& is a good place to watch old lures being sold. Would give a general Idea of what he has. What he wants to look for are identical matches to what he has. Some lures that look similar are not worth a much as others. I have one that I bought off @#$%& 3 years ago for about $30-35 that I saw the Identical lure sell for last week at right around $600.00. So even if he gets them appraised for so much, its worth checking @#$%& once in a while because the price can go up dramatically in just a couple months to a year

I don't have a specific answer, but the question reminded me of many guys' greatest fears: "When I die, I hope my wife doesn't sell my gear for what I told her I paid for it". Re: Need Help

There are some good books on the subject of older tackle that list relative prices. Check your local Barnes and Nobles - they usually carry them. Some sponsors may carry such books as well.
