milling machines

I want to build a milling machine to mill bamboo strips. I am looking for any info I can.
on horizontal milling. And info on fixering it. I sure could use some help getting me going. Thank you Ray Davies Re: milling machines

Google up all the pictures of bamboo milling machines you can find , then put your imagination to work. There are basically 2 kinds of machines you can build yourself, router based machines that use straight cutters and tilt the strips to 60 degrees and require many passes to mill the strip, or machines that use 60 degree included angle cutters, either router driven or by either mounting the cutters to the shaft of an electric motor , or mounted to a shaft and driven by pulley. the main thing to keep in mind is that the geometry has to be correct and that there can be absolutly no slop in what drives the cutter.
