Here are more observations abt 811.
1 Tom Kirkman was right only thin when necessary. When I first started I used 50 to 50 h2o then when dry used 6drops to 1 h2o. One of my complaints was I was able to see the guide foot through the flex coat. When using full strength it was barely visible.
2 Do one guide at a time. The stuff dries quickly and you have between 20 to 30 seconds.Once it begins to set( you will see your brush begin to drag stop and let dry.Even though the cp is not completely smooth on the guides it will dry smooth.Cover the guides completely so you can't see the threads there should be no dripping of the cp. No going back for cleanup
.
3 Use a stiff bristled brush it will collect less air which equates to less bubbles.
4 For larger guides and labels I smeared cp on with a latex glove ,just the finger it was quick and I could spend more time touching up .
5 Intentionally put too much cp on the wrappings not to drip but very close, It dried but left a white speckled appearance to parts of the thread . I cleaned it off with a paper towel and h20 let it dry and re coated with cp.
6 Used 1 coat and then 2 coats of cp made no difference both flex coated equally well.
Thats it ,I hope I've saved someone from the same mistakes I made. Always interested in constructive criticism. Like to hear your thoughts. E mail me if I can help thanks

Thanks for posting your findings!!!! I'm sure it will help people. IMO, there are far to many post that tell someone what to do or what not to do without providing any details or info to explain why
