Dear friends,
I'd like to begin practising inland casting. This is not estrictly fishing. There are several disciplines. The rod I'd like to build first is for "precission" in wich a 7.5 grams (1/4 oz aprox) has to reach different targets located from 10 to 20 yards. It's to be used with SPINNING REEL. Minimum rod length is 1,37 meters (4'6'') and I supose X-fast action will be the best. As far as I know, 3 guides + tip. Have any of you built something like this? By the way, can anyone inform me about where to buy aproved 7,5 gr plastic weights?. Daniel Re: Casting (inland) 4'6'' rod

You're just going to have to scour the blank catalogs until you find something that fills the bill. If this is a regulated type of thing, than someone involved in the official regulations should know where you can obtain the approved casting weights.
