Does anyone know the origin or composition of the ice guides that can be purchased from St. Croix. Thanks. Re: Ice Guides

They are the Berkley SS304 guides - you can buy them from Jann's Netcraft (see sponsor list to the left). However, the itty bitty tip tops - size 2.5 and 3.0 tubes - are only available from St. Croix that I know of. I'm working on some ice rods built on the St. Croix blanks, and I bought some fly rod tip tops from Neal's Fishing Products (see sponsor list, still to the left) that are a 2.5 ring, they work well. I don't care for the SS304 guides, I feel they ice up more than traditional guides - so I went with ceramics and the fly style tip top. I sure with somebody (Batson??) would come up with some better choices for the ice rod builders - a small, but fast growing segment of the sport for sure.
