Morning Folks,
I've been struggling with the Forhan Locking Wrap and was looking for some input. I think I'm missing one small, but apparently critical step. After performing the locking wraps and returning to the blank for the final blocking wraps the thread looks bad. Bad meaning, the thread comes right off the guide leg and back to the blank; this creates a large gap that looks poor. I was wondering if I'm missing something, like a reverse in the wrap direction or if I'm just going up onto the guide leg backwards or something. I've posted a picture of the wrap on the pic post. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. [www.rodbuilding.org] Thanks, Justin Re: Forhan Locking Wrap

When you've finished wrapping around the guide just begin the next wrap like you are going to do another wrap around the guide but instead wrap around the blank. Check the instructions in the library. Re: Forhan Locking Wrap

Mr. Bob Sale straightened me out. The term "figure 8" was all I needed to understand the instructions in the library and get my head into the game. Thanks for the reply. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
