over size cork I.D.

I recently aquired a largs supply of cork rings. Some (most) have inside diameters that are larger than the blank butts I use. How can I use these (build up blank) or are they useless?
Thanks in advance for any help. My finished grips are 10.5" long and longer.

How much bigger?? If not very much, you can spiral thread on the blank under the grip or even twine.

Doug,
What size ID are these cork rings? I don't think they would be useless, as their are alot of blanks out there that they can come to good use.

How about assembling the desired length grips with the rings. Glue some reel seat arbors inside the cork grips and ream to correct size for the blank? Ed

Doug- depending on the inside diameter, these rings may be useful for surf rod builders. If you don't have a use for them, post them on the Buy/Sell page and I'll bet someone will take them off your hands.

Just build up with drywall mesh tape and use rodbond to glue it all together.
