Rich Forhan in Charlotte

I learned this afternoon that Rich Forhan will be on hand in Charlotte and he's agreed to be on the seminar program both days. For those of you who don't know Rich or haven't heard of him, he's spent many years tinkering with, modifying and improving many standard or stock rod building items to make them even better and more suitable for specialized fishing situations. He's also a highly successful tournament angler.

Most likely we'll have him offer a seminar on the various ideas and modifications on his trademarked "Revolver Rod." This includes information on one type of spiral wrap, the split grip, the RF-lite reel seat and some interesting comments on guide spacing and rod spine.

Those of you who specialize in bass rods certainly won't want to miss this seminar and it's good to remember that most aspects of the Revolver Rod work great on most other style rods as well.

Rich will be available the entire weekend to meet and talk rod building with everyone. He'll be in the RodMaker booth when he's not in one of the upstairs seminar rooms.

We may be adding some international flair to the show program as well - Ian Miller from Australia may be able to get over this year as well. Another "surprise" guest is interested and we'll see how that pans out. I think it's the strongest seminar team that's ever been assembled anywhere. Should be some great information on hand for this event.

I'm very glad that Rich wil be on the program. Nobody knows more about the practical use of rod spine than he does. His no nonsense approach to rod building is something I've always enjoyed. He makes a great addition to an already impressive program of seminar presenters. I very much look forward to sitting in on his presentations.

A great event gets even better! Really if you have never attended in the past you do have to experience this show to believe it. There isn't anything else that even starts to come close in education, product, other builders and about anything else you can think of.

This is great news! I've always enjoyed his articles and comments. Sounds like the BIG national rod building event will be one for the ages.

With all the seminars that I am wanting to get to, I have a hunch my wife is going to be a little upset with me...
