Why not buy the St. Croix blank used in that model? You need to give more info! Spinning or casting? Trolling or casting? What kind of baits? What length do you want?
Myself, on spinning rods, I use Fuji Alconites in the Concept system found in the library above (NOT the Fuji system, which really @#$%&!!) I use SF guides with the last 4 or 5 SF fly guides )BLAG) On casting, I use split grips, Bumber Sprial Wraps, double foot for butt guise and SF the rest of the way. Mike Edited 1 time(s). Sorry I forgot to mention a few things--I wilkl use this rod for casting top water baits. Probably 10 inches long baits. I will use a bait casting reel. I thought I may find a blank a bit cheaper than the St Croix. Thanks Jim Re: musky rod

Take a look at the Batson Enterprises - Rainshadow/Forecast website. We have a very nice selection of Musky blanks to choose from. We also have all the components to go with that application. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your support.. Bill Batson Re: musky rod

Jim,
I just built one. Mine will be used for Carolina rigging and Muskies. I used a StCroix IV Carolina Riggin 1+1 Pics are here: [duanerichards.proboards23.com] or go to the Rod Building area on my site in my signature. I used Pac Bay's Illusion guides with Tich chrome feet and made the blank a permament one piece. DR Re: musky rod

How about posting some pix on this site so they will always be available. Mike Re: musky rod

Mike,
I don't really know how to be honest, but if you'll give me a quick run at it, I'll give it a try in the next few days. I don't have the "quality" camera to get really good pics, mine always look just "there", but I'm willing to try. DR Re: musky rod

Hi Duane,
First, I think that you have to register. Use same name, etc as on the regular forum. Once you are registered, all you have to do is log in, click on the UPLOAD PHOTO button. You have to pick a category other than Members gallery. Click on MROWSE and go to the photo on your computer and click on UPLOAD/SUBMIT. List your comment, keywords, etc. and that's it! Any problem, give me a shout Re: musky rod

Not sure on that one (Shout for Tom) Did you register OK?? Did you choose a category other than Members Gallery? I assume the pic that you are trying to upload is on your hard drive.
Mike Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
