Hi guys
Can some one educate me. What is a 3M blank? I see the names Scientific Angler and Philipson when looking around for them. In reference to surf casting blanks. Thanks Re: 3M blanks ?

I do not know for sure how it all evolved but up until a few years ago 3m , from the twin cities here in Minnesota was making blanks . They may have been sold under another name, and it may have evolved from the older phillipson brand. I still have a 3M fly rod blank that I bought when they were clearing out their last blanks. I would be very interested in finding out just how it all evolved.
