Hi to all. Normally I have very little difficulty deciding on colors when wrapping a blank. This time , because the base color is dk grey/black, I can't seem to settle on anything. Just wondered what color combinations some of you may have used . Could you also indicate if you used color preserver or not . Thanks to all

I used black and garnet with classic twist black and white for trim and I did use CP.

Just about any color your heart desires will look fine on this color blank. What color are the guides you're using? The reel seat? Maybe use these colors in your wrap colors?

I used garnet with sulky metallic gold trim but any color combo should look nice.

I did one in Sulky Pine green metallic with HT metallic gold trim over black frame guides with gold rings. It came out looking very nice, and not nearly so flashy as it would seem. The pine green was subtle for a metallic thread.

The sky is the limit, but here is one you might like: combo of Gudebrod black, orange/black twist, and red-bronze metallic, with CP (a must for the twist/two-tone thread).
