Will be a spin rod for small mouth bass, casting light lures.
Would you go with new concept on this rod? If so, can you stear me to the guides I need. If not what and how many would you put on it.? thanks Re: What guides to put on Lami 842 ?

Yes, use the concept setup. Fuji CYAG or American NIA for the guides between the reel and choke point and Fuji CLAG or American NIF size 6 fly guides from the choke guide to the tip. Size 6 Fuji CFAT or American NHLT tip.
Put your reel on and let the line path tell you the guide sizes to the choke point. Use a static deflection test to determine the total number of guides and their location. Re: What guides to put on Lami 842 ?

Check the article in the online library. It should answer your questions on guide size and quantity.

Might be a little difference between the 842 ML and M, I usually end up with Shimano/Diawa 2000 reels. Fuji 20J, 12J, 10 or 8J, than #6 fly guides to tip as above. I'd plan for 7 guides and a tip. If you use one less you have one for repairs or the next rod. This won't be your last. Re: What guides to put on Lami 842 ?

Greg,
on the new rod series we are building with this blank we are using the American Tackle Titan guides with a concept spacing. The performance is excellent and so is the response from pro-staff and customers.
