I need some suggestions on blanks for making a rod for use with downriggers for trout in lakes. I need something with a 6-12 lb. ine rating, thats lightweight. I'm looking into a rod that's a fast action graphite and 7' in length. It will probably also be used a a topwater and jerkbait rod for bass, and will be pair with a light small-profile baitcaster. Any suugestions? Re: Rods for trout fishing with downriggers?

First one that comes to mind is St Croix. They have fast and moderate action Re: Rods for trout fishing with downriggers?

I'd build one out of a 2 power popping rod blank anytime. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
