Sage has discontinued their VPS and VPS light line up of blanks, however I have a customer that is VERY insistant that he get a SAGE 590-3 VPS light ! !
My normal supply chain, all of which are sponsors, doesn't have one on hand and, of course, can't get one from SAGE. So if any of you, out there in RODBUILDING land, has one in stock, let me know... Thank you so much for your help. Good Wrappin ! David A. Fuller, Great Basin Fishing Rods Full-Time RV'r Traveling- n- Fishing www.mytripjournal.com/FullersBigAdventure Re: Looking for Sage Blank

Try Cerdric Knuckey at cknuckey@aol.com - mention my name. He's a Sage rod builder in Minnesota, built my RPLXi a few years ago, may have one laying around. Also there is a guy on @#$%& whose ID is oregonrodbuilder - you could log onto @#$%&, do a search for members, find his ID and send him a email. Re: Looking for Sage Blank

There is also a used Sage 590-3 VPS rod for sale on @#$%& - maybe he'd go for that or if you could get it cheap enough, strip it down and redo it.

A customer of mine recently brought me a supposed Sage blank he bought from someone on @#$%&. I feel certain that it was a Tiger Eye blank.
I think Custom Tackle Supply sells Sage blanks or could get them for you. I would try to support the sponsors of this site and deal with people who have been around for many years and you know can trust. A Sage blank is fairly expensive. You do not want to get burned on a purchase like that. Re: Looking for Sage Blank

Thanks again for all the advice and checking your personal stock piles.
I'm still searching, I'll be calling around. With luck someone will have a VPS light 590-3 in a darkened corner of their shop. note: I buy ONLY from sponsors of this board... I don't think it's a crime to buy elsewhere if you need something specific - I believe it's called Freedom of Choice. Re: Looking for Sage Blank

Try Angler's Workshop? Re: Looking for Sage Blank

Yes we do have freedom of choice but we also need to use wisdom as well. Unless I've missed something, neither Mr. Knuckey or @#$%& have lifted a finger to help offset expenses at this site. Custom Tackle and Anglers Workshop have. I'd buy from them even if it cost a little more, although I doubt the price would be any higher. Maybe even less. Re: Looking for Sage Blank
