I'm looking to build a rod for swordfish. A few have been hooked and lost off coast of cailforia and I would like to have a rig on my boat that might stand a chance at a 3 or 4 hundred pound fish. Thanks ED...... Long time no post. Been fishing. Built two spiral wrap albacore rods and they work great.

Putter ; I've been real busy sold my place paid off all my bills, salmon fishing buying albacore gear on the go all the time trying to get set for an albacore trip this weekend. Got boat set up so I can run 40 miles out and still get back. Hope only have to go 20 miles. And for a rod rod I've been looking at is a calstar 6 1/5' 50 to 100 lb XXXH ? But will check out XL blanks to. Good to be back on site . I check in now and then and as soon as snow flys will be back full time. Take care everybody. Putter got some new tunes to add to those tapes. Later ED...
