Roller Bearings/Races, Ball Bearings, Ball Bearing Wheels ...

Hi all,

I was just wondering if any of our sponsors have any of these items.
I'm just window shopping for some ideas I'm thinking about, such as ball bearing roller wheels for making rod rollers.
Ball bearing races for making spine finders and headstock assemblies.
Individual ball bearings for filling and mixing for epoxy and paint jars, ...
And oh ya ... a CHEAP ... 18 RPM gear motor for making dryers.

OR maybe some of you can gimme some ideas where I can go to get some of these items ? I feel a slight urge to do some inventing. Nothing too extraordinarily expensive, though. ;-)

Thanks all.
Randy Wilinski

You got a Scientific America store near you ???? They have it all... I have bought 18RMP 110v. timing motors from them for $1.15 each.

as far as bearings to put in your epoxi or paint. I would go to toy store and buy some (pee-wee) size marbles. will do the same for lot less monies

Steel shot for a sling shot works well for putting in paints and Permagloss also and are much cheaper than ball bearings.

I've used 50 caliber ball shot from most any sporting goods store and not expensive. Haven't had a problem with contamination.

For the blanks, guides and other things, getting a sales tax ID # and filling out quarterly forms and doing paperwork seems to be a time consuming task that some people may not need to want to deal with, just to buy at wholesale.
Do we have a wholesale buying club available to us as in the way they used to do it in The Rodcrafter's Journal ???
