hey guys. I want to build 3 rods. I want to use rainshadow blanks. Which would you reccomend.
As always thanks for the help. 1. 9ft. convetional for throwing 2-3 ounces of weight and a sand worm or a small chuck of bunker. 2. 10ft conventional for throwing 2-4 ounces of led and a bunker head or a good size hunk. 3. 10 or 11 ft spinning rod for throwing pencil poppers. By the way, do i have to have a 1 piece for all or is a 2 piece ok. Thanks, Dan Colville Re: 3 striper rods

You might want to check the Rod building archives on stripersonline.com. There is a TON of info on these specific rods from this specific Manufacturer in there, from guys who fish every day. There's also a thread on the Main forum regarding 2-piece rods. Re: 3 striper rods

I like a nine footer for light plugging. Fun to use, still get plenty of distance and short enough not to wear you out if you cast and fish the rod all day. 2 piece rods are fine if you have to take them down for transport. If you can handle the 1 piece length in your car or truck, then do the 1 piece. It'll cost more to ship in though. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
