Hi all,
I am looking for a live center that screws directly onto the tail stock of the Taig micro lathe II. The one I am looking for is shaped like a half moon on the front where a mandrell would rest inside the half moon. I have searched for this part for hours with no luck. This is not an accessory offered by Taig. Would anyone know where I can buy one of these? Thank you for your help. Jim Hitt Re: Taig Lathe users

I have the live center made by Taig for their lathe, but I'm not sure of the type you're asking about. Sounds like something where the live center itself has the indent to hold a solid ended mandrel?
I've dealt with a ton of lathes and accessories, and don't believe I've ever seen any such thing that would fit the Taig lathe. ................... Re: Taig Lathe users

I have seen some that have a reverseable "bull" cone so that in effect they'd be exactly what you want. But they won't fit a Taig.

The only ones I've seen (concave live center) have MT #1 or #2 shafts which won't fit directly into the taig tailstock. You might contact the owner of this site since he uses Taig components to build custom pool cue lathes...
