I'm about to build on a Dan Craft Sig V 8'4" 3/4 wt and wonder what size guide for runners most might use. In the past with Fuji's I have tended to use size 6's as runners fly rods in the 4,5, and 6 wts but what do you think of the Titans, 5's or 6's. BTW, undoubtedly it will be used with a 4 wt line. Thanks for your input. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 08/05/2005 12:38PM by D. Rob Grider. Re: Opinion on Titan guide size for 4 wt

I myself don't like the size of the 5's would go for the 6's or single foot wire.
You could ask Dan what he thinks? Re: Opinion on Titan guide size for 4 wt

i built on that same blank. i used titanium colored single foot wire guides and i'm so new to this that i probably followed dan's suggestion with that choice. i also used a bellinger cap and ring seat. fantastic rod.

I used them on an older Fenwick and they almost seem a bit tiny. I had to use a guide in place of a tip top since there is nothing in a sz 5 top. If I were going to do it again, I would go with the 6's. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
