I'm looking at the AMTAK matrix AMCB 844 for a trolling blank
7' with a moderate action. Think I am better with a fast action ? Has any one built on this? Thanks Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/04/2005 12:08PM by bill boettcher. Re: Trolling rod

I prefer a fast action, but that's just me. What are you trolling for? Salmon/Steelhead?

Guy is going for fresh water a lake I think, stripped bass. He's got his own boat and wanted some thing that was different then all of the rest of his rod. Kind of a no one use this one thing. He also said he wanted a rod with flex in the tip, and backbone in the butt. This was the only one that seemed to fit what he was looking for, as to line size, lure weight. All the rest were fast. He liks the green, showed him a picture.
At 7' maybe a fast would have some flex in the blank?? And give him a little more power. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
