It's hard to slide the grip on with a non-tapered reamer. The wooden dowels also are rarely symetrical. For power reaming, I wood not recommend would.

Wood reamers are bad to twist and split apart. Dump 'em. Use solid glass OR broken golf club shaft material.

Bill,

Thrift stores frequently have old fiberglass rods real cheap, and I've seen a large number of old golf clubs at thrift stores for $1.00 each.

We spend a lot of time at the beach and I make a habit of checking the dumpsters frequently for broken rods and discarded fishing items such a tackle boxes, lures and various other tackle.

It embarrases my wife, but doesn't bother me.

Stan
