Today I found out the effect of heat on epoxy open time. The heat wave has penetrated my shop and today I was challenged to speed finish the wraps with epoxy. With the heat and humidity the epoxy open time was about 1/2 what is is normally. But I was able to measure, mix, apply and level with a single application.........and I did it in a NY minute. How about that Billy V !!!!! Has anyone else tried their hand at finishing in this oppressive weather?

Try mixing glass coat in this heat. After you mix, stick in the brush and it " stands up " Re: Speed finishing

You definately have it right with Glass Coat. Just put a coat on a rod and I think the working time must have been about 5 minutes.
