Carbon Thread?

I have a Shimano Talora which seems to have carbon fiber as guide wrap. Is this available anywhere? It sure could look nice paired with the right blank.

I think what you are looking at is regular nylon thread with clear over it. Re: Carbon Thread?

Most likely Bill is correct. There are probably some interesting appearances to be gained by using various threads other than nylon however. The trick would be to make sure it's easy to wrap with that you can apply finish to it. I've made tons of wraps with various types and colors of monofiliment. They all look great until you apply finish to them.
