We had a great time at this years ICAST show in Las Vegas. We wanted to list off some of the interesting new items we came across before we get some sleep:
1. Aftco has started to offer a size 4 curved uni-butt and “shamano” gold reel seats. They also have a new anodizer going so the back orders on black parts should disappear shortly. Also, Aftcote will be offered in 2oz and 4ox bottles soon.
2. Fuji prices are going up 3% for hardaloy, alconite and sic guides shortly. They are also going to be offering a new guide series for heavier line classes similar to the LRSG series but with a deep pressed frame – these will be out near the end of the year.
3. Gudebrod has a new line of about 10 colors in a single electra-metallic thread that will be out shortly. Also their thread prices are also going up 3% shortly.
4. Gloomis is now offering GLX blanks again – we’ll have them up on our web site this week. They also are renewing their commitment to the custom rod builders again (better blanks, faster delivery, more models) and we should have them with us in Charlotte this year.
5. American Tackle is now offering a turbo style boat rod guide in an all titanium alloy frame with nanolite ring – impressive for the saltwater 20# to 60# class rods.
6. Rouge Rods has a full line up of blanks again and are operating full speed.
7. GUSA was present and said their new location is going very well and we will be seeing blanks again very, very shortly.

Regards.
