Anyone know if the Show Rates are in effect at the Westin yet? I have a feeling that they will fill even earlier yet.

Mike,
You inspired me to call the Westin Charlotte and, sure enough, they are taking reservations for the show. The reservation clerk called it the Fly Fishing Show but we know better. The rate is $91and change per night. and they let you add a third night at the same rate.
Hope to finally meet you there.

Thanks Mike and Dave.

My wife & I decided to go to Charlotte for 4 days (in Thurs & out Mon) and was given the $91 rate for each of the four nights.

See you folks there.

Yes, you can get Thursday thru Sunday nights at the special rate. Last year was $89 and this year is $91. Still not bad for a ritzy place where the rooms are normally between $150 and $200 per night. And remember, there are other lower cost hotels within walking distance if you prefer. Check the website for a few.

Cut your costs in half by splitting a room with someone. The rooms are large, plush and have 2 huge beds.

I'm set. King size bed for me and the wife and a rollaway for my son. We'll make it a mini vacation.

I called and made my reservations, but I had to tell them I was coming to the fly fishing show to get the special rates. They did not know anything about the rod builders show.

I checked online to find out the normal rates, $259 for a king size bed. What a savings! $91 a night through the show.
