How much would you compress this pattern from 90º angles?
Thanks, Steve Re: Streammline Thunder Bird compression CRTA #88

Naw....last time I said the heck wid it and did a spider wrap. 90º wraps are so much easier. Gonna try it again though. Re: Streammline Thunder Bird compression CRTA #88

I'll guess - if the center circumference of the blank is 40mm, I would compress it 75%, and make it 30mm between centers. Re: Streammline Thunder Bird compression CRTA #88

That's kinda what I went ahead and did Billy. It would be about a 6 inch butt wrap, so I made the spacing 26mm a part. The blank diam. is 32. So that worked out to about 80%. Just as long as it works out for the space provided for the wrap I think it will be ok. Who says how much it has to be compressed or elongated huh? Re: Streammline Thunder Bird compression CRTA #88

I've only elongated/compressed Fish wraps, and when I was done I always wanted to remind myself to compress/elongate more than on my next wrap. I have done a fish wrap which was almost double the standard layout, which I did like. Compressing is different though, as compressing too much could be a pain to wrap. I guess.
Please get off teh computer, wrap this thing, and let us know if 80% is enough, lol. Re: Streammline Thunder Bird compression CRTA #88
