I thought I had a good idea. Use fingernail decals with university logos to make special commemorative rods. They are the correct size, and they obviate the need and hassle in seeking copyright permission in order to have Jimi Ellis make them. I suggested this to another builder and he asked if they are stable and won't fade. I had to respond that I didn't know. I am in the process of trying one to see, but has anyone tried this before? I am going to contact the company as well and seek a response and will follow with an additional post when I find out. Any thoughts out there?
Thanks, BOB Re: college logo fingernail decals-UV stable?

If they're made to go on fingernails you have to think that they're not really made for long term use. I'd do what Billy says. Just rig one up and let it sit outside in the sun for a few weeks. You'll have a definite answer in due course. Re: college logo fingernail decals-UV stable?

I got my decals from the local university bookstore. They are called "Spirit Accents" but I don't have the name of the manufacturer with me. I googled the subject and there is a whole industry that produces decal making supplies that exploit computer-generated graphics/printers, etc. From all of the inquiries that I have out there, ink jet printer ink is not stable over long periods of time. I have an e-mail into Jimi Ellis to check on his thoughts on the subject. I would think that professional teams also have license fingernail decal products. I still don't know the answer on longevity of these decals.
Thanks for all of the posts. BOB Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
