Guys,
Sage's web site has spacinng charts. Find the rod weight/length & # of sections that resembles your blank & put in the model #. They give their guides in snake sizes. I recently posted here to find out the conversion from snake sizes to ceramics but didn't get a very good response, I'm still not sure what sizes to get in ceramics. When I'm ready to build, I think I'll contact a vendor that carries the guides I want & ask them for help with the conversion from snake to ceramic. Tim Re: spey rod

On my Forecast 13' spey, I used a double foot #16, #12(tamer) and #10, and then single foot #8's (I used 6) out to the tip.

Guys if you use the search engine this stuff has been done before at length many times. Quick info, a #1 wire guide is about the same as a # 6 ceramic fly, a #3 wire is about the same as a # 8 ceramic.
Good luck on your rods. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
