Hello.
I'm an amateur builder posting for the first time. I'm getting ready to build a 11'6'' 6 wt. spey rod using a 4-piece Batson blank (F1166/7*4DB). Could any of you refer me to a guides spacing chart that I could use for this blank? Thank you for your time. Eijiro Kawada Tacoma, WA Re: spey guides spacing

Eijiro,
The info you need to do it right is in the library above, it's the static guide placement article. Guide spacing charts are nothing more than a place to start, and of little use if you want this rod to perform well. Re: spey guides spacing

Built one a couple of weeks ago and started out with this line up and just adjusted a little (can´t find the rod spec :( )
from the topp i cm 12,5 29 48 71 98 129 160 192 225 259 Built it for a guide up north here in Sweden and he just loves it, It carries a lot more line than a #6/7 think he is using a shoting head for a singelhanded rod #8/9. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
