Rodbuilding.org is not all it is meant to be...

Rodbuilding.org is not all it is meant to be, it is much more. It is about bringing people with a common interest together and building strong friendships. I spent last week at Rockport, Texas, a small resort town on the Gulf Coast. While there I met up with three rodbuilders that I would have never met but for this forum. We did a little fishing, drank a little vino and had a great meal together. The best part of the trip was being amongst good friends and sharing some time together. Thanks Tom.
Cheers, Ellis

I agree 100%. How many times do you hear how you have to pay a fee and join a rod building club in order to find comraderie and have others to help you with your rod building. Well you don't. Not by a long shot. I don't think you can beat the sharing and comraderie that goes on here at rodbuilding.org no matter what you join or how much you pay. There is nothing else like this and I for one am thankful for all the nice people who go out of their way every day to help others with their rod building problems. I met a few of you in Charlotte this past February at the big show and everybody is even nicer in person.

Ellis, you've said a mouthful. Going to Charlotte allowed me to meet many of them. I'd never have went and spent 3 1/2 days with Stan Grace and learned all that info without this site. Next Saturday another builder that grew up less than 50 miles from me (Mike Wong-Oregon) will be back in town and we'll get to spend several hours together. We would never have met except for Tom's site.

I also plan to go to Billings yet this summer and meet Gerry Rhoades; same story there!!

I said it before, and I'll say it again,, never have I found a place where so many share so much for just the sake of sharing and caring and helping fellow rod builders..

My thanks goes out to each and every one of you..

Here, here! You think this is good? For those of you who haven't attended the Charlotte Show, try that, too. I have met lots of great folks and stay in e-mail touch with many new friends. Rod builders are a great group! I add my thanks!!!!!!!!
