allstar thread color

help repairing a rod need thread color help on a 7 casting rod only thing i can guess is a model type is PRM no other significant markings color looks like a garnet or close no CP am i right?????? Re: allstar thread color

Date: June 24, 2005 12:51AM I repaired an AllStar a couple of weeks ago and went with exactly that to match it! #206 Garnet....NO CP!!!! Perfect match! I did notice that some of the older AllStar rods might have used CP on them as the Garnet is much brighter. But the newer ones definitely have no CP as you can see the guidefoot through the thread on most. Re: allstar thread color

You might want to scuff one of the other wraps and put a light coat of finish on it to see if they match then? Re: allstar thread color
