I think I once read somewhere that the cork dust produced when sanding cork handles can be mixed with a "binder" and used to fill some of the larger / deeper defects in the cork handle.
Is this true? And if so, what should the binder be? Thanks, Skip Kerwin Re: Binder for cork dust

I've used Titebond III wood glue mixed to a thickness about like plastic wood.

I use Duco cement for this (Wal~Mart). Be sure and use cork dust from a finer grit of sandpaper, not the coarser. Mix it up and put some (very light coat) Duco into the hole, then add the mix to a level slightly above the surface. Sand smooth after it's dry. Putter Williston, ND Re: Binder for cork dust

Hi David,
If you are filling to flock the grip, then you might look at a wood filler like Elmer's. It's cheaper, faster and easier. Regards......Doug@ TCRds Re: Binder for cork dust

I use 5 minute epoxy and fine cork dust.
