Anyone have any plans that show how to make a rod roller/rest? I have seen a couple that look homemade and thought someone could share a little incite. Re: Rod roller plans?

You can find several in past issues of RodMaker. There is at least one in the online library on this site.

my favorites call for biscuts cut from pine with a 1 1/2" diameter hole saw. Bore out center hole with step bit to fit ABEC 5 or 7 bearings you can get in bulk cheap off @#$%&. Press the bearings in place to make your rollers and wrap the edge with weatherstripping or a thick, quality felt. Someone I know is flocking their rollers. The rest is pretty academic.
Sliding glass door bearings also work great using rubber O-rings as cushions but they are much more expensive if lighter. Some food for thought. If I could afford it I would buy every back issue of Rodmaker. Derek Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
